FLD Leadership Conference
July 9-10
Leadership is more than a title — it's about courage, authenticity and the willingness to grow. At the 2025 FLD Leadership Conference, we invite you to Lead Boldly. This year’s theme challenges emerging leaders to step into their potential with confidence and vision. Through inspiring keynotes, hands-on sessions and meaningful networking, you’ll gain the tools and mindset to lead with purpose in a rapidly evolving industry.
New this year, we’ll be joined on Day One by students participating in banking internships from IBA-member banks from throughout the state. This unique opportunity allows future bankers to learn alongside emerging professionals and build connections that support the development of Indiana’s next generation of banking leaders. Whether you’re managing your first team or preparing for the C-suite, this conference will empower you to make bold moves that shape your future — and the future of community banking.
Supervisor Boot Camp
July 29-30
You don’t master the art of leading and managing through luck; you master it through training, experience, learning, and staying on top of best practices. As a manager or supervisor, you must have the attitude, aptitude, skill set, confidence, persistence, and commitment to excel in this multi-tasking, challenging role. This training will help take your expertise to a new level as you learn how to collaborate and coach your employees to excel on the job.
Whether you are new or seasoned managers and supervisors, attendees find this experiential training invigorating, motivating and applicable to managing and supervising others. You will learn how to manage crucial conversations and challenging situations. You will practice a coaching approach that encourages your staff to be engaged and accountable and walk away with a toolbox for immediate use back in your workplace!
FLD Lunch and Learn Series
The IBA Future Leadership Division believes that one of the best ways to grow as a banking professional is to learn from each other through peer-to-peer connection and idea-sharing. Bankers, no matter their role or geographic location, each share common experiences that we all can relate to and learn from. This year the FLD will be hosting a series of rebranded FLD Lunch and Learn events that will serve as an opportunity to connect with other bankers and discuss topics that we all can learn from. These lunches require minimal time to attend, but offer great benefit and knowledge sharing that anyone, no matter their role or level of experience, can benefit from. This year's Lunch and Learn series will be held in Fair Oaks, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Jasper and New Albany. Registration to attend a meeting is only $25 per person.
- New Albany - September 17
- Indianapolis - September 19
- Fort Wayne - September 23
- Fair Oaks - September 30
- Jasper - October 2
IBA Annual Washington Trip
October 5-7
The IBA Annual Washington Trip affords bankers the opportunity to talk with legislators and regulators about the successes and concerns of Indiana's banking industry. These officials need to hear your ideas firsthand in order to produce workable laws and regulations. This is your chance to tell policymakers face-to-face why the regulatory burden imposed on banks is too heavy and to make suggestions for modifications to burdensome rules. Bankers who have attended past Washington Visits were able to solve problems and raise issues of concern to policymakers individually. The trip is planned for maximum contact and productivity.
FLD 2 LDP Scholarship
Application Deadline - October 17
Have you been a member of the IBA’s Future Leadership Division for more than six months? Are you interested in taking your leadership to the next level? Or are you a bank leader who knows someone at your institution that is a current FLD member that you would like to encourage to attend the IBA's Leadership Development Program? Apply today for the FLD 2 LDP Scholarship, available exclusively for members of the FLD. This opportunity will provide $1,500 toward registration fees for the 2026 Leadership Development Program.
